Middle School Results
The current 9th grade cohort entered 6th grade reading, on average, two grade levels below grade level. After three years of middle school at WHEELS, they read, on average, on grade level. In other words, students made, on average, five years of growth in three years of school.

School Climate

The NYC Learning Environment Survey asks students, teachers, and parents what they think about the learning environment at their school. Schools are given a score on a 1-10 scale based on responses from the school community. On the NYC Progress Report, WHEELS' School Environment score (a section of the Report based mainly on the Learning Environment Survey results) was in the 90th percentile of elementary and middle schools and the 98th percentile of high schools citywide.
